I”ve been working on this drawing for the last two weeks, off and on. I used a very dark, soft lead, an 8B. It was a different experience.
I’m really looking forward to this new Superman movie.
After spending over a month on my previous drawing, I banged this one out in a little over two days.
I’ve got the drawing bug again; I’m hoping to keep up this output for a while. Fingers crossed.
One of my daughter’s favorite Star Trek characters is Captain Janeway from Voyager. I haven’t drawn in a while, but I drew this for her and I think it came out well.
Today was World Drawing Day. (No, I hadn’t heard of it either, until a few days ago.)
I drew this all within the last 24 hours. Obviously, it could use a week or two more of work, but it was an interesting exercise dealing with a deadline. I don’t think the likeness is great. (It’s supposed to be Hugh Jackman.) But I loved drawing the hair.
I’ve been working on this drawing for most of the year. Obviously, not full-time, but bits and pieces here and there. Now that June is nearly here, I’ve decided to move onto something else.
I like how this came out. It’s not “finished”, but it’s enough for now. The deeper blacks and greater contrast of this drawing are a step forward for me.
This is a drawing I’ve been working on for a few weeks of Allison Hannigan. She currently stars on the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother”, but my reference was a publicity shot of her from the 90s.
I’m not very good at drawing young women, so I’m trying to make an effort to concentrate in that area for a while.
I thought this drawing started off well, but something went wrong somewhere along the way. Still, it’s not the worst thing I’ve drawn, and it’s practice.
I finished something!!!
Seriously, I had fun working on this today. I fixed a lot of things that were wrong with it. I’m sure there’s a ton more that I could fix, but I’m happy for now. More importantly, I’m looking forward to starting a new drawing.
